Tamara was born on a ranch in the Flint Hills of Kansas (no, Kansas isn't all flat) in
1973. As a student, community service volunteer and Peace Corps volunteer, she lived
in West Africa and spent time in Mexico and Paraguay. These travels and experiences
influence her eclectic style of jewelry. After living in the Sonoran Desert for a time, she has now returned to the tallgrass prairies of Kansas where she was raised and lives on a homestead with her husband and son.
Tamara is also a writer. She is currently working on her second novel and trying to find
an agent for her first one. Her articles have appeared in publications
as diverse as Bead & Button, Back Home Transitions Abroad, Arizona Foothills Custom Homes and The Herb Quarterly.
In her spare time Tamara tends her garden, fruit orchard and farm animals.
